IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2024

To be eligible for the IBPS PO mains exam 2024, candidates must qualify in the first phase. The IBPS PO Mains Exam comprises four sections, and there’s an additional section specifically for the English Language. The exam will consist of a total of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and has a duration of 3 hours. For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.

Each section in the IBPS PO mains exam will have a designated time limit, similar to the phase 1 exam. To pass the mains exam, candidates need to clear each section individually.

A new addition in the IBPS PO Mains Exam is the Descriptive Test, which carries 25 marks. This test assesses candidates’ writing skills and requires them to write an essay and a letter. It’s crucial to pass this section by achieving the minimum cut-off mark.

IBPS PO Admit Card 2024 Important Instructions

Below are some important instructions related to IBPS PO Admit Card:

• They must ensure to arrive at the exam centre at least 30-45 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on in IBPS PO admit card. Late entry is not permitted under any circumstances
• They must carry their IBPS PO Prelims admit card along with a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar card, PAN card, Passport, etc.)
• Make sure to bring a recent passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form) and a photocopy of the ID proof.
• Avoid wearing any jewellery, watches, or electronic gadgets. They must dress comfortably but avoid clothing with too many layers or pockets, as strict frisking will be conducted.
• Rough sheets for calculations will be provided. They must carry their own ballpoint pen (black or blue ink). Do not carry any prohibited items like calculators, mobile phones, or any other electronic devices.
• Biometric Verification: Fingerprint scanning will be done as part of the biometric verification process. Ensure your fingers are clean and free from any ink or mehndi to avoid any issues during this process.
